We caught some Porgys drifting on the Tin Can this morning
and evryone had a few in their buckets. Some reached ther
limit before we took the ride down south for some Sea Bass
fishing. A nasty thunderstorm greeted us just as we arrived
at the fishing grounds off of Sea Brite NJ and we quickly dropped
anchor where we sat until the storm passed. A few hardy
anglers fished right through the weather and where rewarded
with nice Sea Bass. When the storm passed we were able to
drift and had a good steady pick of keeper Bass with a few
Fluke mixed in again. The weather for the rest of the day
turned out nice. and everyone had a good time.
Tuesday
A light crowd showed up today and I figured it would be very easy
to put a catch together for them . Boy was I wrong. The Porgy's
didn't bite at all but we did manage a decent catch of Sea Bass.
It was work to catch em and we had to fish a lot of drops to put
a catch together but by the end of the day everyone had a bag
of fillets to take home and the pool fished pushed 4 pounds.
